About Daryl

    Daryl Glenn is a Knoxville, Tennessee-based watercolor artist. His work features dynamic, flowing watercolors on paper and wood. Inspired by his own vibrant life experiences, his art aims to evoke joy and nostalgia. 

     

   

Artist Statement 

    My medium is water color on paper and wood. I love how you can control the flow of the colors, yet it is almost unpredictable. I actually paint by the seat of my pants.

     My paintings are not tied to specific subject matter. However, my art is more like a painted journal of my life's adventures . Music, sailing , surfing , people and nature in all its beauty. These are all part of my vision and memories that I see . 

I hope when someone looks at my art they are taken back to a place or time that made them full of joy and life. 

My goal is to create art that I can't stop looking at myself.
